Call for Feedback – Standards for Heated Water System Valves

The IHEA is seeking feedback from industry professionals on several key standards governing valves used in heated water systems. Your input is critical to ensure these standards remain current, safe, and practical for use across the healthcare and engineering sectors.

The standards under review include:

  • AS 1357.1:2019 – Valves primarily for use in heated water systems, Part 1: Protection valves

  • AS 4032.4:2014 – Water supply: Valves for the control of heated water supply temperatures, Part 4: Thermostatically controlled taps

  • AS 4032.2:2005 – Water supply: Valves for the control of hot water supply temperatures, Part 2: Tempering valves and end-of-line temperature-actuated devices

What We’re Looking For

We invite your feedback on the following:

  • Are there updates, improvements, or upgrades needed for these standards?

  • Do any changes need to be made to address critical safety or quality concerns?

Your insights will help shape the future of standards in heated water system design and ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of these systems across healthcare facilities and other sectors.

Submit your feedback via email to ihea.members@ihea.org.au. Your expertise and practical experience are invaluable to this process.

Help us ensure that our standards continue to reflect best practice, safety, and innovation in heated water systems.
