Fun Times Ahead at the IHEA National Conference

The IHEA National Conference will be packed with technical insight, topical speakers, and invaluable opportunities to learn and connect across the industry — but it won’t be all work and no play.

We’ve built in some genuinely enjoyable experiences to make your time on the Gold Coast memorable, whether you’re attending solo or bringing the family along.

Win a Swim with the Sharks Experience

Yes — you read that correctly.

We have six (6) Shark Bay snorkel passes to give away, and they’ll be raffled live at the Welcome Reception on Wednesday night. All conference attendees are eligible — just make sure you’re there on the night.

What’s included?

Delve below the surface at Sea World’s iconic Shark Bay for a snorkelling adventure you won’t forget. You’ll swim among vibrant tropical fish, graceful stingrays, and other fascinating marine life — including the harmless Black Tip and White Tip Reef Sharks.

  • Heated water (22–24°C) for year-round comfort

  • Designated “safe haven” areas to stand and rest

  • Fully supervised by an experienced Dive Leader

A truly memorable experience — and it could be yours. Bring your bathers and towel to participate.

Hawaiian Shirts at the Conference Dinner

To keep the relaxed Gold Coast atmosphere alive, we’re encouraging delegates to wear their Hawaiian shirts to the Conference Dinner.

Delegates have the option to receive a Hawaiian shirt as part of their registration (opt-in required), and we invite everyone to embrace the theme for a colourful, relaxed evening of networking, great food, and connection.

Think less black tie, more island energy.

Bring the Family Along

If partners or family members are joining you on the Gold Coast, there’s no shortage of activities while delegates are in plenary sessions. These are shared as optional suggestions so everyone can choose what suits them best.

Theme Parks

Two passes to Sea World are included with accommodation bookings made with your registration. All other theme park and additional tickets can be purchased on arrival directly with the Sea World team.

The Best of Both Worlds
