National Conference Program Announced

The IHEA National Conference will be held on 3 – 5 June at Marvel Stadium Melbourne, and we are pleased to announce the program highlights and keynote speakers

Our first keynote speaker is James Hird is a retired Australian rules footballer and the former long-serving captain of the Essendon Football Club.

Since retiring, he has embarked upon an extensive media career. Through his role with Fox Sports Footy, he has forged a reputation as an insightful special comments expert during game coverage, and as a well-researched and articulate analyst on programs such as On the Couch.

One of the all-time legends of the game, he was the joint winner of the 1996 Brownlow Medal, and a member of Essendon’s 1993 and 2000 premiership winning sides.

In 2023 he moved into business into a leadership role in the finance industry.

An immensely entertaining and eloquent speaker and Master of Ceremonies, James Hird is the embodiment of leadership, determination and success.

Yasmin Grigaliunas is a Director and Founder of the award-winning circular economy enterprise, the World’s Biggest Garage Sale (WBGS). An entrepreneur of impact and a circular economy pioneer in Australia, Yas recently closed a $4M equity capital raise to expand nationally, with Officeworks as a key investor and shareholder. Together, through expansion of reuse, repair, resource recovery and recommerce initiatives, Yas is thrilled to work with partners and investors to bring the next phase of growth, seeing her Circonomy vision come to life.

Beyond the 'showreel', Yas revels in the 'real reel'... the space and place where it's HOT… Honest, Open, Transparent! HOT is just one of the many sound bites Yas creates to synthesise knowledge and storytell through broad and deep lived experiences as an outlier.

Yas evokes emotion, inspires introspect and is boldly blunt in her unapologetic unleashed and unfiltered style. Be BRAVE, which for Yas means... Being Raw Authentic and Vulnerable Everyday.

It is positively polarising to experience the essence and energy of a truth teller human living whole. Yas is completely comfortable sharing the gritty, shitty and unpretty, evoking emotions to help others navigate their own natural flow state. Traversing transitions and championing change is where Yas is most fearless… with a friendly and fanatical fortitude to encourage and empower others to find fullness and flow.

Be warned... you'll feel one of two things when you hear Yas speak, and that’s energised or exhausted! Don’t worry though… because whatever your response, you’ll be ready to take a nap, or take things to the next level in your own life.
