We’re excited to announce the Technical Tours for the 2025 IHEA National Conference! Join us for exclusive guided, behind-the-scenes tours around Sydney.
All technical tours will take place on the afternoon of Monday, 26 May 2025, and are included with full delegate registrations.
Please note that spots for each tour are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
You can select your preferred technical tour when registering for the conference via the online registration form.

TECHNICAL TOUR ONE | HERITAGE STONEWORKS

Curious about how the state’s most historic and impressive buildings are kept in world-class condition? Now’s your chance to see it firsthand! Join us for an insider look through an exclusive site tour!
During the tour you’ll witness the craftsmanship of our skilled stonemasons and our state-of-the-art stone-cutting machines in action. You’ll also be able to ask questions and hear about the awe-inspiring work the team is involved in.

TECHNICAL TOUR TWO | CLEANPEAK ENERGY

Located on the edge of Sydney Harbour the Barangaroo South Precinct has set the benchmark for the future Australian standard in urban renewal and sustainable construction, as Australia’s first certified carbon neutral precinct under the Climate Active initiative.
Tour the precinct and the four separate utility assets owned by CleanPeak Barangaroo and CleanPeak Barangaroo Thermal which collectively supply the cooling, heating and electricity needs of the Barangaroo South Precinct.

TECHNICAL TOUR THREE | ROYAL PRINCE ALFRED HOSPITAL

Join us for an exclusive site visit tour at the renowned Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, providing a behind-the-scenes look at key areas within the facility.
You'll visit the cutting-edge Fire Safety Simulation Centre, explore the hospital's Helipad, and get an up-close view of the CPB Construction Site, where exciting developments are underway. The tour departs from the Sydney Masonic Centre at 1:00pm.
