IHEA WA recently hosted a separate professional development session exploring the often-overlooked process behind Australian Standards.
Presented by Ben Russell, Engagement Manager – Health Sector at Standards Australia, the session provides an insight into how standards are proposed, developed and published, the role of technical committees and how healthcare professionals can contribute to the standards development process.
It also explores the relationship between standards and regulation, and the role standards play in supporting safe and effective healthcare environments.
