Can't Make It to the Conference Next Week? Stay Connected with These Online Events
We know that not everyone can attend the National Conference in person next week—but that doesn't mean you have to miss out on the excitement, insights, and community spirit!
To help you stay involved, informed, and inspired, we’ve rounded up a few virtual events and online opportunities that you can tune into from wherever you are.

This event presents a new approach for enhancing indoor air quality (IAQ) in healthcare and commercial environments while addressing key sustainability goals including energy consumption and emissions.
Post COVID, ASHRAE was directed to design a standard to reduce the impact of infectious aerosols in the indoor environment. The result was ASRHAE 241, the fastest standard ever developed by ASHRAE, chaired by Professor Max Sherman.
Join Professor Sherman and other keynote speakers for this hybrid event, focussed on the joint challenge of improving indoor air quality standards and simultaneously reducing emissions. The discussion will highlight significant interventional studies conducted in facilities across Australia addressing this challenge.

Upcoming Lunch + Learn
Our Lunch + Learn series brings together industry experts and thought leaders to share insights on key topics—from sustainability and compliance to innovation and best practices.

Enhancing Safety Through Dynamic Exit Signage in Healthcare Facilities
Join us for an insightful session on the vital role of Dynamic Exit Signage in modern healthcare facilities. This event will explore how technological advancements in emergency wayfinding, backed by research from Professor Ed Galea of the University of Greenwich, are improving safety during evacuations.
We'll discuss the benefits, challenges, and compliance requirements of implementing this system in healthcare settings, alongside real-world examples from hospitals across Australia. Learn how Dynamic Exit Signage is transforming emergency response and ensuring safer evacuations in healthcare environments.

AS 1668.2-2024, The Use of Ventilation and Airconditioning in Buildings, Part 2
Join us to hear how your facility may be affected by key changes in the new standard, including enhanced requirements for ventilation system performance in critical areas such as operating theatres and isolation rooms, updated air exchange rate specifications, and revised energy efficiency and air quality guidelines. These updates are particularly relevant to maintaining compliance and ensuring the safety and comfort of healthcare environments.
The AS 1668 series is the foundation for Australian HVAC practices, helping indoor spaces maintain healthy air quality by setting minimum ventilation standards. The updates to AS 1668.2:2024 replace the 2012 edition with revised technical requirements that reflect advancements in technology and modern air quality practices. The new standard introduced a number of changes to healthcare facilities.
