Wilhelm Expands into Western Australia — Seeking Healthcare Service Engineer to Support Growing Hospital Pipeline

Australian healthcare technology company Wilhelm Integrated Solutions is expanding into Western Australia and is currently recruiting for a full-time Field Service Technician / Engineer to support a growing portfolio of healthcare infrastructure projects across the state.

As Wilhelm prepares to support three new WA hospitals in the coming months — the company’s first major direct expansion into the Western Australian market — the newly created role represents a significant opportunity for an experienced healthcare engineering professional to join a rapidly growing national team.

Wilhelm has built a strong reputation across Australia and New Zealand through the delivery and support of specialist healthcare technologies spanning modular healthcare infrastructure, infection prevention and control systems, radiation safety solutions and digital health integration.

The company partners with some of the world’s leading healthcare innovators and supports major hospitals and healthcare groups across Australia and New Zealand.

Importantly, this role is viewed internally as far more than a technical service position.

Wilhelm is seeking someone who can become the technical and relationship face of the brand within Western Australia — a trusted industry professional who understands healthcare environments, communicates effectively with stakeholders and aligns strongly with the company’s culture and customer-focused approach.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Experience within WA Health or the private healthcare sector

  • A background in engineering, biomedical engineering, electrical services or healthcare technical support

  • Strong communication and relationship-building capability

  • Sound diagnostic and fault-finding skills

  • Experience with mechanical, digital or low-voltage systems

  • A customer-first mindset and commitment to service excellence

Candidates with experience as Biomedical Engineers, Licensed Electricians or healthcare service technicians are strongly encouraged to apply.

The role will involve servicing and preventative maintenance of operating lights, pendants, monitor arms, digital integration systems and related healthcare technologies across Perth-based hospitals, with future opportunities to support regional WA sites.

The successful applicant will become Wilhelm’s first directly employed WA-based Field Service Technician/Engineer, joining a national service team recognised for maintaining exceptionally high standards across project delivery and customer support.

While the role is largely autonomous and home-based, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work alongside Wilhelm’s growing WA presence, including the existing local sales team based in Jolimont.

According to Wilhelm leadership, finding the right cultural fit is just as important as technical expertise.

The organisation is particularly interested in professionals who are trusted within the healthcare sector, understand the operational realities of hospitals and are motivated by contributing positively to healthcare outcomes across WA.

As healthcare infrastructure investment accelerates nationally, the expansion highlights the growing demand for technically capable professionals who can bridge engineering expertise with strong stakeholder engagement and customer service.

For healthcare engineers, technicians and service professionals seeking a meaningful role within an expanding and innovative healthcare technology organisation, this represents a rare opportunity to help shape Wilhelm’s next phase of growth in Western Australia.
