Exploring Innovation at Austin Hospital: Site Tour & Technology Insights

We’re excited to announce a site tour at Austin Hospital on Friday, 21 November 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by lunch. This event is a unique opportunity to see first-hand how cutting-edge technologies are being implemented in a busy healthcare environment and to learn from real-world experiences.

Theme: Lessons Learnt with the Implementation of New Technologies

Over the past few years, Austin Hospital has been integrating a range of innovative systems to improve operational efficiency and reliability. During this tour, we’ll explore lessons learnt since the implementation of these technologies, including:

• IoT Sensors: Deployed since 2020, these sensors track average vibration speed over time and instantaneous acceleration across vibration frequencies, helping teams detect early signs of equipment wear and optimize maintenance schedules.

• Busch Vacuum Solutions’ Otto System: Featuring IoT-enabled vacuum pumps, this system provides real-time performance monitoring and predictive maintenance capabilities.

• BeaconMedaes Medical air compressor: Advanced filtering and drying skids ensure consistent, clean medical air, vital for safe hospital operations.

• New Smardt Air-Cooled Chiller: Delivering energy-efficient cooling with intelligent monitoring for improved reliability.

  
  

Suppliers of each technology will be on-site to provide demonstrations and answer questions, offering invaluable insights into the design, implementation, and operational lessons of their systems.
