Recently, our NSW Branch held a Charity Fundraising and Networking Golf Day. The golf was a great success as they managed to dodge the horrid wet weather, but they did all get wet feet as the course was extremely drenched.
The sun came out for most of the event, and everyone had a great time, except a few of the members who had a shocker chasing that little white ball.
They raised enough funds to donate 10 beds for Backpack bed for the homeless, a national not for profit charity that provides emergency relief Backpack Beds and Fire Retardant ThermalTrex® Polar Fleece Sleeping Bags to street sleeping homeless people without shelter - in partnership with homeless agencies across Australia.
We would like to thank all the sponsors for supporting the event and we are looking forward to a bigger and better event next year.
Luke Woods from TLE Caringbah managed to longest drive and the Stowe Western suburbs branch took out the overall score.
Just a reminder to all members, taking time away from your jobs to have a laugh and catch up with like-minded people is certainly a great stress release.
